This program provides a hot meal to people who do not have a permanent residence nor adequate kitchen facilities. We serve approximately 6,000 meals within the year. The atmosphere is welcoming and reflects respect for each person.
Coffee and various breakfast foods at times are available in the mornings.
Various church groups and other small groups of friends, or Intersection volunteers, prepare our meals. The guests have a reservation time, choose their own seats, and are served by volunteer “wait-persons.”
Allegheny County Health Department regularly inspects our facility and the permit is displayed as required by law.
