Operation Safety Net (OSN) from Pittsburgh Mercy Health System makes weekly visits in their state-of-the-art van. They connect people with other McKeesport area outreach workers, case managers and social workers for further assistance.
Since the year 2000, the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System has been providing basic medical check-ups. The van is equipped with the latest technology. There is at least one doctor on site, with an intern or more. Several college students enrolled in medical school assist the doctor during the check-ups.
Each year the McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP, in conjunction with the McKeesport Area Rescue Service (MARS) offers free flu shots at The Intersection.
